Where I’m from…

With a dad that’s a drummer, and a mom that’s a singer, you would think I would be musically inclined. Well, you would be so very wrong. I may not be musically inclined, but I’ve always had a huge love of the arts. So, I spent a good bit of my life not knowing how I fit into the arts, I just knew I wanted to.

Even if I didn’t find my passion, I wanted to support the arts however I could. I’ve always done what I can to support my artistic friends. I’ve tried to buy T-shirts, CDs, artwork, and artistic services wherever I could afford. Those items are normally better than anything you can buy in a store anyway.

Then in March of 2021, right in the middle of a pandemic, I had a bit of a life crisis. I just had to find my artistic side again. With that, I bought my first camera, the Canon EOS M50 Mark II. With that camera, I had planned to start a YouTube channel focused on what I knew…which was technology and cyber security. What I ended up doing, was taking it outside to try out and falling in love with photography instead.

Six months later, here we are. I’m now thoroughly addicted to photography, trying to build a community around my work and the arts in general, and trying to make a bit of a name for myself in the industry. That leads me to…

Where I’m going…

Where do I plan to go with all this? Well, that is all still pretty vague. I’ve got a rough idea, and am working on executing, but the path forward is full of twists and turns and is always changing with new discoveries and new opportunities.

In short, I hope to one day turn this passion for photography and community building into a full-time, self-sustaining job. What form that is going to take is still unclear, but the creation of this website, and other resources are the first steps.
